Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall Adults Only Hotel

Location: Jamaica, Montego Bay
Star Rating: 5
Board Levels: AI

General Description:
The Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall teams an ever-so-stylish pool with a trendy dining scene. And, it nudges up against a sheltered white-sand beach.

This adults-only hotel’s luxury atmosphere stretches from the secluded pool up to the Moroccan-themed rooftop bar. And, it takes in plenty of sleek, cream-coloured decor on the way. When you’re after a livelier scene, you can hop across to the family-friendly sister hotel next door.

A curve of pearl-white sand wraps around the front of this place, and there’s a pretty wooden pier to wander along. After dark, the al fresco fire pits are cosy spots to sit around with evening drinks, or you can head up to the rooftop bar.

The pool’s a great size, and comes with a bar you can wade right up to. Food-wise, you’ve got a seaside Caribbean grill, an international place and a French-themed bistro. The spa’s really plush – there’s a sea-view hot tub and a big menu of treatments. Yoga, pilates and shuffleboard all feature on the activity listings. Plus, you can use the pool, restaurants and other facilities over at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, which sidles up next door.

Beach volleyball and watersports are on offer down on the sand. There’s also bingo, shuffleboard and ping pong tournaments throughout the day. Or, you can try your hand at yoga and bootcamp-style cardio classes.

You can tuck in to breakfast at Jamaican Rootz – an open-air, Caribbean-style beachfront place. It stays open for lunch and dinner, too. Or, opt for Urban Heat. This hip eatery offers an international à la carte menu. There’s a Parisian bistro in the mix, as well.

The Zen Spa* deals in treatments like Swedish massages, deep cleansing facials and citrus scrubs. There’s a hot tub with views of the ocean in there, too.

The nightly schedule covers reggae performances and dance shows in the outdoor theatre, and there’s usually relaxing music in the Piano Bar. For cocktails with a view, head up to Fez, the rooftop bar. The open-air ShakerZ bar mixes drinks until midnight. Over at the Hyatt Ziva, the Union Jack’Z Sports Pub is open until 2am.

The main pool’s a split-level number that’s intertwined with palm tree-topped islands. There’s a swim-up bar for drinks and snacks during the day, and you can rent a cabana* for an extra touch of luxe. You can use the two pools at the Hyatt Ziva, too.

Double rooms come with a pool view and balcony or terrace. They also have Wi-Fi, a shower and a minibar. Junior suites are also available which come with either a king-size bed or two doubles.
